An arm lift, otherwise known as Brachioplasty, removes the excess skin and fat deposits (the so-called “bat-wing” deformity), leaving the upper arms with a more pleasing and youthful contour. As a person ages, upper arm skin can become loose and flabby. This procedure removes excess skin between the “armpit” and elbow.
The amount of excess skin that needs to be removed will determine which form of the procedure will be most helpful to you. In some instances, Dr. Brownstein may recommend that liposuction be used alone or in conjunction with an arm lift to remove excess fat in the upper arms.
